Update 6-11-01

Hi,

Some numbers:

E-mail addresses now listed on home page:   59

Classmates.com people who still haven't replied:  14

Confirmed deaths:   7

People I have phone numbers for from the '85 reunion list:  29

People who can be contacted through presently-listed people:  19

That means in a bit over two weeks we've potentially located about 40% of the class.  But in order for that actually to happen some phone calls need to be made.  Below is a list of people I have phone numbers for.  If people who knew these people can e-mail me I'll give you the phone numbers---if I simply listed them here, everyone might  call the same people, which might be friendly but a bit overwhelming.  If no one asks for a particular number in the next couple days, I'll try some blind-calling.  But I suspect the reception would be better if a former friend called.

Also, through switchboard.com I've started looking for relatives of people from our class.  Sometimes this is easy:  pop "Eisbrouch" (a made-up name---the original was supposedly even more complicated) into a national search engine and you get all my immediate family.  Do the same with "Finder" and it turns up not only as a name but as a verb.  Still, just working from A to D, I've come up with 20 possible relatives of people we're looking for, mostly identifiable because they still live in Valley Stream, Lynbrook, or North Woodmere.  (Yeah, I know, it sounds like I have nothing better to do but sit in front of the computer.  Actually, I do, but this is easier.)  So if anyone who was friendly with those people (on the second list below) asks, I'll give you those numbers.  Otherwise, I'll try and make other blind calls and see how frustrating it is.

Also, Peggy Cooper Schwartz said she'll happily begin coordinating a party.  A number of other people have already said they'd like to help, so if you could all contact Peggy, either by e-mail (Pegles150@aol.com) or phone (888-825-8483 ext--3690), that would be great.

And some other questions:  I noticed the classes of '61 to '63 are having a joint reunion (which someone said is in the afternoon, while mentioning she thought we were old enough to have parties at night now).  And the class of '64 seems to be having a weekend retreat in Florida.  What would you like:  Afternoon?  Evening?  Full meal? Hors d'oeuvres?  Open bar?  Band?  Where?  When?  So we don't immediately burn out Peggy, send me your answers, I'll tally 'em, report them to you, and send them to her.

This all sounds like homework.

Anyway, here are the lists.  And don't forget, the home page gets updated every time I have new e-mail addresses.  Again, that link is:
